For more than ten years, Mr. Hargreaves has overseen the innovative process Environmental Risk Agency uses to develop solutions to environmental risks. Under his direction, Environmental Risk Agency has developed landmark environmental products, including Property Transfer Liability Insurance, Asbestos In Place Liability Insurance, and Remediation Stop Loss Insurance.
Mr. Hargreaves has developed insurance solutions for finance and real estate corporations, light and heavy industrial operations and the oil & gas, and natural resources industries. Clients he has served include Chevron Corporation, Emerson Electric Company, Newmont Gold Company, Monsanto Corporation, The Chase Manhattan Bank, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Equitable Life Assurance Company, Fleet National Bank, Morgan Stanley and other leading American companies. Mr. Hargreaves maintains strategic alliances with more than a dozen of the largest and most highly rated insurance and reinsurance companies in the world.
Mr. Hargreaves’ seminal research on the insurability of environmental risks is cited extensively in the 1997 text, Managing Environmental Risk through Insurance, published by The Wharton School Risk and Decision Processes Center, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hargreaves holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. He holds property and casualty insurance licenses in 49 states.
